Institute of Hotel Management, SRMIST – Tiruchirappalli organizes SDGs contests to emphasize the idea of Bridging Green Education: Uniting Sustainable Communities. To initiate green education initiatives at college, we made a platform to project the student’s vision in two categories: Poster Presentation and Art from the Waste on 09th August 2024, Friday in our campus. Mr. Vijayganesh, AP, IHM, SRMIST co-ordinator for the Oasis Club, has organized this event at IHM seminar hall along with Mr. Prince Antony J, Vice-Principal IHM for the first year degree and diploma students. Around 90 students participated in 18 teams in both the contests. Mr.N.R. Sakthivel, AP, HoD, Department of Tamil, SRM Trichy Arts and Science college and Dr. N. Anitha, AP, Department of Tamil, FSH, SRMIST, Trichy acted as judges for these events and witnessed the student’s idea. We made all of our UG students visit the student’s presentation after the evaluation and our participants eagerly explained their ideas to their friends. Dr. F.X. Christopher, Dean, Faculty of Science and Humanities presided over this event and finally, he distributed prizes to the winners and certificates to the participants on 12th August 2024, Monday in our seminar hall.
