About the program:
The college of Allied Health Science (CAHS), Faculty of Medicine & Health Science, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Tiruchirappalli has organized outreach program in view of “WORLD MICROBIOME DAY” on 06.07.2024 (Saturday) at Medical College, 4th floor, LH-1. The theme of the program is “Feed Your Microbes” and to make an awareness about the microbes among the students.
The program was started with Thamil Thai Vazhthu followed by welcome address delivered by Dr. R. Ramya, AP-CAHS. Dr. K. Kumar Ebenezar, Principal – CAHS delivered the Presidential address. We have successfully conducted two engaging events, evaluated by Ms.Thamari selvi, Tutor – CAHS and Ms. S. Sushmitha, Tutor-CAHS. The first program focused on Quiz showcasing students’ knowledge about the theme. The second event was poster presentation, where the participants demonstrated their presentation skills and knowledge about gut microbes role in human. The judges appreciated the diversity of ideas and the enthusiasm displayed throughout the event. Their insightful evaluations were crucial in identifying the standout performances and ensuring a fair assessment.
Totally 25 students from all the department of CAHS students were participated. The poster presentation was won by Kanagaraj, II yr, OTAT, and Joe David, II yr CCT. The quiz was won by team of Sherin farven & Avnicka, Department of CPT, and Bhuvaneshwari and Ifrath Thamina, Department of CCT. Finally, Principal-CAHS has distributed the prizes and certificates for the winners. Ms.Pavithra, IIyr Medical Laboratory Technology, CAHS, has delivered the vote of thanks.
