FACULTY OF SCIENCE AND HUMANITIES
On 25.08.2022 we commenced orientation sessions for the first year students of MBA, MCA and S&H streams. For MBA, as a part of Industry Connect Mr. Pradeep Chenthil kumar from the CII Trichy Chapter delivered a talk on “Your network is Your net worth”. An Ice-breaking session filled with games was conducted in the afternoon to enable the students to gel with the batch mates, faculty team, campus, system and our culture. For S&H programs, sessions on “Life Sills”, “Campus Life”, “Goal setting”, “Stress Management”, “Team building” “Placements at SRM”, etc, were delivered.
Teachers Day Celebrations at SRMIST-TRC Premises, on 05.09.2022. The senior students of S&H UG programs organized the event. Faculty members from all the streams participated. The students conducted few special events/games for the faculty and prizes were given.
To mark the completion of “Bharathi memorial Centenary year”, a four day program commenced at IST on 26.09.2022 as a tribute to Mahakavi Bharathiar. Our Campus Director Dr. N. Malmurugan inaugurated the program. Dean of Science and Humanities Dr. C.K. Kotravel Bharathi felicitated on the occasion. On the first day event – “Isaiyarangam”, five melodies belonging to different genres written Mahakavi Bharathi were sung by the students.
The “SRM Technocrats Computer Forum” of the Department of Computer Science, FSH-SRMIST-TRC organized a hands-on workshop on “On-Premises Networking” (28.09.2022)
