The Institute of Hotel Management at SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Tiruchirappalli, successfully conducted a seminar titled "Luxury Hospitality Careers: Skills and Pathways" on Thursday, November 20, 2025. The event was organized by Mr. Ragulkannan MD, Assistant Professor, aiming to enlighten undergraduate students and faculty members about the evolving demands and opportunities within the high-end hospitality sector.The program commenced at the SRM IHM 515 Seminar Hall. The distinguished Resource Person was invited through the initiative of Dr. Santanu Dasgupta, Principal of SRM IHM Trichy. To begin the proceedings, Mr. Prince Antony J., Vice Principal, delivered a warm Welcome Address, setting a professional tone for the gathering and emphasizing the significance of specialized skills in today's competitive luxury market. Following the welcome note, the session was handed over to the Resource Person, Mr. S. Kalyan Kumar, a renowned Professional Trainer with expertise across the Hospitality, Healthcare, and Automobile sectors. Mr. Kumar provided deep insights into the specific behavioral and technical skills required to excel in luxury hospitality. He outlined various career pathways, guiding the students on how to navigate the industry to achieve professional success. The event concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr. Ragulkannan MD, who expressed gratitude to the guest speaker for his valuable time, the management for their support, and the participants for their engagement.
