A workshop on Flower Arrangement was organized by the Institute of Hotel Management, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Tiruchirappalli at TRP Block 2. The session was coordinated and convened by Mr. S. Vijayaganesh, Assistant Professor, IHM Department. The workshop was attended by Hotel Management students, who actively participated and learned various techniques of floral design and decoration, enhancing their creativity and presentation skills

Th e Faculty of Science and Humanities, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Tiruchirappalli hosted the Alumni Meet 2025 on October 25, 2025, at the 6th Floor Seminar Hall, bringing together our proud alumni, faculty members, and students for a heartwarming reunion. Highlights: • Welcome & Opening Remarks – Emphasizing the vision of the Alumni Association. • Address by Dean, Dr. D. Francis Xavier Christopher – Inspiring alumni to engage and contribute. • Departmental Updates – Recent achievements and initiatives shared by HoDs. • Alumni Sharing Session – Memories, experiences, and success stories. • Felicitation Ceremony – Honoring rank holders for academic excellence. • Closing Moments – Vote of Thanks, National Anthem, and a group photograph. The event celebrated achievements, rekindled connections, and strengthened the b ond between SRM IST and its alumni community. 

The National Service Scheme (NSS) of SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Tiruchirappalli, organized a poster presentation competition on "Save Water, Save Life" on October 30, 2025. The eve nt aimed to promote water conservation awareness and highlight the role of youth in nation-building. Key Highlights: - Over 30 students participated in the competition - Posters showcased creative and informative content on water conservation Outcome: The competition successfully raised awareness about the importance of water conservation and encouraged students to adopt sustainable practices. Conclusion: The event was a success, and SRMIST Tiruchirappalli's NSS unit is commended for promoting water conservation awareness among youth. 

The IET Training Completion Program for Hotel Management students was successfully conducted by the Department of Hotel Management at Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) on 24th October 2025 at the Seminar Hall, Room No. 513. The event commenced with a warm welcome address highlighting the objectives and outcomes of the IET training program. The program was coordinated by Mr. S. Vijayaganesh, Assistant Professor, and Ms. A.M. Shahitha, Assistant Professor, who ensured the smooth organization and conduct of the event. The Principal and Vice Principal graced the occasion with their presence and delivered a special address, motivating students to apply their learning experiences from the IET program in their professional journey. They emphasized the importance of discipline, dedication, and innovation in the hospitality industry. The session also included a presentation on the training experiences, where students shared their insights, learning outcomes, and feedback about their IET exposure in various hotel departments. Certificates of completion were distributed to the students who successfully completed their training program. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the management, faculty members, and students for their support and participation, marking the successful completion of the IET Training Program 2025.
