Placement Cell

A senior faculty member from each department acts as the placement coordinator to enable the smooth functioning of the activities of the Placement and Training Cell.

  • The Placement & Training Cell of SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Tiruchirappalli Campus builds industry-institution interactions and corporate relationships to create numerous avenues for the students. The Placement & Training Cell prepares students for getting placed in both product and service oriented companies by providing training to the students and making them to be industry-ready.
  • The number of students who are successfully securing placements year after year justifies the quality of education and exposure they gained at SRMIST.  The optimal balance of academic and non-academic learning processes plays a vital role in soft skill and personality developments.
  • All the deserving & interested students get placed  in leading Multinational Companies like M/s. Torry Haris, M/s. Amazon, M/s.Infosys, M/s.CTS, M/s. Accenture, M/s. Wipro, M/s.HCL Technologies, M/s.TVS Iyengar sons, M/s. IVTL Infoview, M/s. Object Frontier Software, M/s.Digital Logiciel, M/s.Mitsuba Sical , M/s.WEG, M/s.TVS Motors, M/s. Integra, M/s. BSOL systems, etc. 
  • The students are trained with employability skills which will not only equip them with the knowledge, attitude and abilities for a better career, but also a practical professional experience through frequent in-plant training / Industrial visits in leading organisations like ISRO, All India Radio, Cement Factories, Southern Railway Workshop, BSNL, Power Grid Corporations, Leading software companies , Massive building / bridge construction sites, etc.
  • The Dean (Placement) visits various industrial hubs in India frequently to discuss with the top officials of various reputed companies. Subsequently, the HR team will evaluate our infrastructure and teaching-learning process. The campus recruitment starts with  pre placement talk followed by tests, Group discussion, Technical Interview and HR Interview. At the end of the day, the selected students will receive the Appointment order / Offer letter.

  • English Communication Skills Laboratory

English Communication skills laboratory has been installed exclusively on the campus with the objective of enhancing four primary skills of Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing skills in English
The lab sessions are part of the curriculum and additional training given to students in promoting communication skills.The special language courseware installed in the laboratory exposes the students to computer-aided teaching of English. The seminar hall of the laboratory gives the hands-on experience to students during Debates, Group Discussions, and Presentations
