The First Annual Day of Faculty of Engineering & Technology, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Tiruchirappalli campus, was celebrated on 17/05/2023. Dr.R. Balasundaram – Associate Dean welcomed the gathering. Dr.N.Malmurugan – Trichy campus director facilitated the function with presidential address. In his address, the Director stressed the need for importance of academic achievements, internships, semester abroad programmes and advised the first year students to take foot path of higher grade students. Dr.R.Krishnamoorthy – Dean FET presented the annual report of the academic year 2022-2023. In his annual report, he highlighted the students’ academic achievements, research achievements by faculty & students, infrastructure facilities, extracurricular and co-curricular activities done by the students. The chief guest, Dr. N.V.S. NARASIMHA SARMA, Director, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Tiruchirappalli, elaborated on various avenues available for the students to pursue their career and emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship and higher studies. He also lay emphasize on the importance of life long contact of the students with their alma mater and advised the students to limit their timing for social media. Mr.Madhavan – Head placement proposed the Vote of thanks.
