The Faculty of Science and Humanities of SRMIST organised an awareness seminar at SRM
Auditorium on 28.08.2023 to highlight the ill effects of ragging. Mr. C. Raja, an advocate
practicing at Tiruchirappalli District court graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He delivered a
detailed lecture on Anti-Ragging Law and elaborated on the legal punishments for ragging and its
practice in any form. The students were enlightened on the legal complications of ragging and
advising them on refraining from such acts. Our respected Director, SRM Tiruchirappalli
Campus and Dean, Faculty of Science and Humanities insisted on the importance of knowing
laws and legal acts in our life. The event was organized by the Mavericks club of Hotel
Management. All S&H first year students have participated and benefitted.
