The Faculty of Engineering and Technology, SRMIST, Tiruchirappalli campus conducted a Seminar on “Business and Leadership Skills” for II-year B.Tech. CSE & CSE-AIML students on 21.04.2023.Prof. AtanuGhosh, Professor and Head(Rtd.), IIT, Jodhpur delivered interactive session to the students at IST Seminar Hall. Dean FET, Dr.R.Krishnamoorthy invited Prof.AtanuGhosh for delivering the session. Dr.R.Balaji Ganesh, HoD(i/c), CSE-AIML introduced the speaker to the students. The speaker delivered a session with emphasis on Entrepreneurship skills for the budding engineers. He gave insights into the importance of Managers in the IT and service-based companies. The speaker discussed the differences between Entrepreneur and Intrapreneur. The students got the idea about how Intrapreneur works in companies like Google, Microsoft etc. Our students understood that the correlation between the Age of an Entrepreneur/ Intrapreneur and the associated financial risk. Finally, Students also got an idea of startups and the working models of different businesses.
