    • Leading the Department of Biotechnology, overseeing academic programs, and driving curriculum development. Responsible for designing and establishing biotechnology labs, including coordinating with vendors for lab setup and procurement. Mentoring faculty and students while fostering a research-oriented environment.

    Yeungnam University, South Korea (June 2015 – February 2016)


    • Conducted research on the biological detoxification of mycotoxins in contaminated fermented foods. Discovered and characterized enzymes produced by indigenous fungi Aspergillus tubingensis, which could potentially reduce ochratoxin levels in food and feed.

    • Researched the mismatch repair pathway in Neisseria gonorrhoeae under the supervision of Professor D.N. Rao in the Department of Biochemistry.

    • Assisted in bioleaching studies for extracting nickel and copper from mining samples using Thiobacillus ferrooxidans. Contributed to a Tata-funded project within the Department of Materials Science under Prof. K.A. Natarajan.
