Fire safety training program

Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, SRMIST, Tiruchirappalli conducted a fire safety training program for Teaching, and non-teaching faculty members and housekeeping staff from the College of Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, and Allied Health Sciences. Over 30 faculty members and more than 20 housekeeping staff actively participated in the specialized fire safety training program.

The session, led by the experienced Fire Safety Officer from the SRM Trichy campus, encompassed both theoretical and practical aspects of fire accidents, fire prevention, and firefighting techniques.

The theoretical lecture covered essential fire safety principles followed by an on-site demonstration, allowing participants to practice hands-on training on firefighting methods in realistic scenarios. The program’s comprehensive approach provided valuable insights and hands-on experience, with the knowledge and skills vital for ensuring a safe and secure healthcare environment.

All the staff members actively engaged in learning essential fire safety protocols, emphasizing a commitment to a secure workplace.
