Food is any substance consumed by an organism for nutritional support. Food is usually of plantanimal, or fungal origin, and contains essential nutrients, such as carbohydratesfatsproteinsvitamins and minerals. Food that we consume should be clean and hygienic. In order to spread an awareness about food safety, the Food Safety Awareness program was organised by SRM Institute of Hotel Management on 29.07.2022. Food safety officers from Trichy graced the occasion as chief guests. They shared important information on how to store the food material, how to extend the shelf life of the product, and demonstrated how to find adulterated food material. The students had an enlightening learning experience
