College of Occupational Therapy, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Tiruchirappalli, organized screening and awareness camp commemorating International Day for Older Persons for 100-day workers in Irungalur Village. More than 70 beneficiaries got benefited. . Participants were screened for Low back pain by the Faculties and students along with teaching ergonomics principles to prevent and manage low back pain.
The program encompassed a multi-faceted approach to elderly care, merging healthcare and educational components. Furthermore, the camp highlighted the crucial aspect of preventing injuries that often affect older individuals. This event symbolizes a dedication to the holistic health and well-being of the elderly population, and extending outreach activities in enriching the lives of older individuals within the community.
