Placement talk
The Students’ Summer Engagement Program on Placement talk was organized for all second and third year students of Computer Science and Engineering Department and was successfully conducted on 21.6.2023 at 11 AM. The event aimed to provide valuable insights and guidance to the attendees, focusing on their personal development and identifying their personal strengths. The program featured a welcome speech by the faculty coordinator Ms.R.Sharanya and Dr.P.Shanmuga Sundari. The student coordinator Ms. Ramya introduced the chief guest Ms.Mercy Solomon, Co-Founder, Kereses Consulting India. The session started at 11 AM.
The resource person started the session to identify the personal talent through quizzes and conducted an activity for identifying personal strength while using the pen in the non-dominant hand, she insisted on practicing the same ie being ambidextrous. She shared the web url – www.viacharacter.org to identify the strengths of an individual. She focused on insisting the students to identify their top most strength which is the critical factor for their placements. Based on the industry needs the student has to identify and strengthen their talents. The focus on their strengths benefits the students to identify opportunities for the good fit to the companies, help them stand out to employers and to help with the overall quality of life and to be successful.
Post placement talk activity has been shared by the resource person, the training program successfully achieved its objective of equipping the students with knowledge and guidance necessary for their future career endeavours. The event provided a platform for students to interact with industry experts, fostering a deeper understanding of the skills and competencies required to excel in the professional world. Finally, Mr.T. Madhavan, Placement Head, SRM IST, Trichy delivered the vote of thanks.
