Industrial Robots and Applications
The Day 9 of Summer Engagement Program on “Industrial Robots and Applications ” held on 28 June 2023 at SRM Institute of science and technology, Tiruchirappalli through online mode aimed to raise awareness and educate students and professionals about the growing importance of Robotics in today’s digital age. The event served as a platform to address the challenges, strategies, and best practices related to Robotics.
The program “Industrial Robots and Applications” started with a Welcome speech given by Ramya student of II year cyber security, she gave a brief introduction about Resource Person Prof. Dr. E.Balasubramanian.
Following the welcome speech, Prof. Dr. E.Balasubramanian started the session with importance of Robotics. He explained who coined the term universal automation and initial Robotics industries. He also added the Robots used in US Military. He explained the 3 laws of Robots, Key components of Robots and various types of Robots.
The session providing a valuable platform for students to delve into the realm of Robotics and its significance in today’s world. The event accomplished its goal of raising awareness about how repetitive, boring and stressful jobs can be automated using Robots. The session created insights about a wide range of topics, including robot programming, artificial intelligence, human-robot collaboration, industrial automation, and robotics in specific industries.
Finally, the session was ended with resource person showing pictures of recent Robots developed in his Institution. The session was fruitful to students. At last Ramya student of II-year cyber security, SRM IST, Tiruchirappalli proposed the Vote of thanks.
