World Egg Day was established in Vienna in 1996, when it was decided to celebrate the power of the egg on the second Friday in October each year. Since then, egg fans around the world have invested in new ways to honour this incredible nutrient powerhouse, and the day of celebration has grown and evolved over time.
In order to support this auspicious day, IHM SRMIST, Trichy, Celebrates this World Egg day by preparing more than 100 varieties of egg dishes which are delicious and aesthetic. On this day, sous Chef K.Jagatheesh from Courtyard by Marriott Hotels is invited as chief guest to our premises and he tasted every dish prepared by our staff and students and selected the best three recipes and honoured those participants. Our Chief Director Prof. Dr. N. Sethuraman, Director Dr. N. Malmurugan and Dr.R.K.Vaithianathan, Dean of Science and Humanities and other HOI’s have graced this event by sharing their views on our student’s preparations. Our Vice-Principal, Mr. Prince Antony, welcomed the guests and Mr. Sundarapandian, Asst. Professor has rendered the vote of thanks.
