INTERNATIONAL MOTHER LANGUAGE DAY
Thiruvalluvar Tamil Mandram and Campus Life, SRMIST, Tiruchirappalli collaboratively celebrated the International Mother Language Day on 21-02-2022 11:00 am through online mode. Ms. Vasanthalakshmi of BCA (Data Science) welcomed the gathering after Tamil Thai vaazhthu. Ms.Aishwarya of BCA (Data Science) gave the introduction about the chief guest. Dr. Kotravel Bharathi, Dean (S&H), Dr. D. Suresh, Dean (OT), Dr. Sundarajan, Vice Principal ( AHS) and Dr. Manimekalai.
Campus Coordinator gave the felicitation. The chief guest, Mr. M. V. Chandramohan, Director, Career Dynamics, Coimbatore presented a talk on “Technology in Multilingual learning”. The lecture was followed by the cultural programme of the students. Songs in Tamil were sung by Ms. Subiksha Mahalakshmi of BBA.
Orations in their respective mother language were given by the students. Ms. Karthiga (B.Com), Ms.Fariza (B.Com-ISM) and Ms.Sudarshana (B.Com- Information System and Management) spoke in Tamil, Fayaz (B.Com-Information System and Management) in Malayalam, and Vasantha lakshmi (BCA-Data Science) and Gnaneshwar Reddy (B.Sc-Clinical Psychology) in Telugu. Ms.Aishwarya (BCA-Data Science) proposed the vote of Thanks. The entire programme was anchored by Ms.Varsha (B.Com- Corporate Secretaryship). The function concluded with the playing of the National Anthem.
