Smart India Hackathon Internal 2024

The Smart India Hackathon (SIH) is a nationwide initiative launched by the Indian government to provide students with a platform to solve some of the pressing problems faced by various ministries, industries, and non-governmental organizations. It aims to cultivate innovation, problem-solving skills, and a culture of product development among young students. The Smart India Hackathon has become one of the largest hackathons in the world, fostering a generation of problem-solvers who contribute to the nation’s growth and development. It not only provides students with the opportunity to showcase their talents but also helps bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world application.

Smart India Hackathon problem statements present real-world challenges from government ministries, industries, and NGOs across various domains like healthcare, agriculture, and environment. These challenges require innovative, scalable, and practical solutions, often involving a multidisciplinary approach. Participants are evaluated on criteria such as innovation, feasibility, impact, and technical proficiency, with the ultimate goal of developing solutions that can be implemented to address societal and industry-specific needs effectively. The hackathon fosters creativity and contributes to national development by solving pressing issues through student-led innovation.
